Kevin Durant Dominates The Game Of Basketball To Maintain His Position As The NBA Champion

The National Basketball Association (NBA) would be incomplete without Kevin Wayen Durant playing in the small forward position. He plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder franchise. Durant had the advantage of a good height attached with him.

He began by playing for the basketball team hosted by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). To this day, Durant puts on a jersey flaunting the number 35 in memory of his coach Charles Craig from that era. Durant was a part of the team when it won two consecutive national championships.

He went on to participate in the Olympic Games held in London in 2012 with a team of basketball players that returned with a gold medal to their credit, partly due to the contribution of Durant. His team got the same results in the FIBA World Championship organised in 2010 in Turkey.

Durant did collect some honors at the college level. Thanks to his prowess and skills with the ball, he soon qualified for the 2007 NBA Draft. This was also the time when Lady Luck put before Durant a chance to sign a $60 million contract with Nike.

Durant has been quite popular when it comes to philanthropy. His kindness towards his community in Oklahoma City is famous. He even went for acting in a film, Thunderstruck.

As a devout Christian, he goes to the church to implore for a win before he sets out on on a game. He has a whole lot of tattoos on different parts of his body that declare his affinity with theology.
