Nathan Adrian

Nathan Ghar-Jun Adrian, one of the amazing swimmers of America, was born on December 7, 1988 to Cecilia and James Adrian. He has an interesting ancestry because his mother is Chinese and his father an American. He has two elder siblings, one brother and another sister who also is a swimmer. He started swimming under the influence of his siblings and graduated from Bremerton high School in 2006 and swam for his high school. In 2012, he graduated with honors in public health. He brought many laurels to his college as well as for his high school. When he was in college, he became a NCAA champion five times which is no small feat. He was being trained by Coach Mike Bottom in the Florida Keys till 2008 summer Olympics. In 2009, at World Aquatics Championships, he earned gold in the 4*100 m freestyle relay and 4*100m medley relay. He won gold in 100m freestyle in the prestigious event of Short Course world championships which took place in 2008. Nathan also appeared in fifth episode of the 2009 season of the Discovery channel series, myth busters as assistant to popular hosts, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman. They wanted to know that is it possible to swim in the same speed as one swims in water. But test results were later declared invalid because they concluded that Nathan was so used to water that his technique went completely wrong when he swam in syrup thus causing a very inconsistent lap timings.
