Bruce Jenner and the Olympics

Bruce Jenner and the Olympics

A lot of you can hear different stories about Caitlyn Jenner, former Bruce Jenner, about her life, family and happiness.
And we are so happy for her, but what is maybe little bit sad is that the story of Caitlyn overshadowed Bruce’s success when he was young.
He was one of the most famous people in the world and his glory and success were something everyone talked about back then.
Unlike his family, he was famous for his talent and he was an amazing sportsman. If you are young and not much into sports then you probably don’t know about his past and successful career in sports.

But in case you are old enough to know about that, then you probably remember his success at a 1976 Olympics. That was the year of Bruce Jenner and along with him the year of Edwin Moses, Nadia Comaneci, Spinks brothers and Sugar Ray Leonard.
All of them got gold medals including amazingly talented Bruce Jenner. He won the decathlon and for those of you who are fans of Olympics, you definitely know that in 1976 you couldn’t find anything more popular than decathlon.

One of the most famous moments during that event was when Bruce crosses the finish line and he raised his arms and he raised his voice and the audience was cheering for him so badly at that moment that it seemed like he made a historical move.

He became so famous that by the end of that year he was more popular than Muhammad Ali, or if not more, but definitely at that level.
He deserved everything he had and we can freely say that Caitlyn deserves her happiness now too.
