Sally Pearson races for Australia in Olympics 2016

Sally Pearson is an Australian hurdle athlete. In 2010 she competed at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India and won Gold in the 100 meter hurdles. In South Korea in the 201l World championships she beat her own Oceanic record and the Australian national record for the 100 meter hurdles. She set a new Olympic record for the 100 meter hurdles and won Gold at the 2012 Olympic Summer Games in London, England. Unfortunately, she fell over a hurdle while competing at the Golden Gala. She fractured her left forearm and was unable to compete for the rest of the 2015 season.

Sally was the first Australian athlete to be awarded 2011 Female Athlete of the Year by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). She also received approximately $100,000 US. In 2014, she was named the most inspirational Australian athlete.

Sally Pearson has heard the rumors that she will not return to competition and that she won't win another significant title. Although she broke her wrist last June, she is in excellent form thanks to torturous hillside sprints, fitness center sessions, and sprint training. She is healthy once again and looking forward to representing Australian in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
