Allyson Michelle Felix is a track and field sprint athlete and won many laurels for her nation, USA at various levels. She was born on November 18, 1985 to Paul and Marlean and belongs to a devout Christian family. She herself is a devout Christian. She was born and brought up in California and has an older brother who is also a sprint athlete, Wes Felix. He was the USA Junior champion and currently works as the agent for his sister. Allyson attended Los Angeles Baptist High School in North Hills and was nick named as chicken legs because she had very skinny legs despite having a athlete’s body. Felix gives much credit of her success to her coach Samson young and her strong faith n almighty. In 2003, she got the title of High school Athlete of the year. She graduated in 2003 and made headlines when she signed a contract with Adidas which covered her tuition fees in University of Southern California from where she graduated with a degree in elementary education. When she was just 18, she finished second to Veronica Campbell in 2004 Summer Olympics and became the youngest gold medalist in 200m race at the World Championship hosted by Helsinki and later on she defended her title at Osaka. She got silver in 2008 Olympics hosted by Beijing in 200m, where she was beaten again by Veronica Campbell. She participated in the 4*400m relay in the women’s team and got her first Olympic medal.
