Born in Belarus, Victoria Azarenka is a professional tennis player who went on to play professional tennis at the age of 14 in 2003. She went through a lot before she bagged the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She was the victor in the 2012 Australian Open with her first Grand Slam title and even at the 2013 Australian Open.
Azarenka was only seven-years-old when she got her first dose of professional tennis at a tennis club where her mother worked. She moved to Arizona from Belarus to train herself in professional tennis. Her first professional match was played in 2003, while she won the Junior Australian Open and Junior US Open in 2005. The coming years saw to many wins as a professional for her and she found herself ascending the ranks of the WTA.
The year 2010 brought a series of injuries to the lady, although she did win the West Classic. The following year saw to her ascent to the number 3 position in the US Open after winning the Sony Ericson Open. The following years saw to a host of victories and addition of medallions to the lady's kitty.
Azarenka did consider taking a break from professional tennis for the sake of academic pursuits in 2011, but was pushed into the world of tennis by her grandmother. The latter continues to inspire her continuous development in the sport.
Ultimately, Azarenka became famous for the strange noise that she produces when she hits the ball. She did opt for some modeling sessions as she gave a pose for the FHM magazine.
